Dear Scotty and community,
I reach to you because I've lately been introduced to your content and I do find it very amusing and interesting.
Hereby I would like to ask for your opinion as I have been tracking a 2005 Lexus Is250 (fuel engine, indeed) with an auto transmission and 186.000 kms. The owner asks for 5.900$.
The car has been through all the campaigns (seatbelts, airbags) for which the costumers where recalled for.
What's your opinion on that? What should I check?
Have a mechanic inspect it for you so that you know everything was covered. They will be able to recommend whether or not it is a good buy.
Maybe haggle $1000 or so off of that, but it sounds like a pretty good deal as long as it checks out.
Mod_Man! Thank you for the answer, I really appreciate it!
Should I worry about the carbon buildup? Its my main concern for this matter.
You could always do a carbon buildup cleaning if you are really worried about it, but if it is running good and nothing is out of spec with the engine data I wouldn't mess with it.
Great! Thank you one more time!
You're very welcome!
