Scotty we own a 2013 Toyota Venza 2.7 liter 4 cylinder automatic with AWD.
We brought it about a year ago with 51000 miles, to replace our 2014 Focus SE automatic (junk) will never buy another FORD in my lifetime. We had no problems or check engine lights until recently,a little over a year later, it had a notice saying to take it to the dealer for a problem with the awd system, ABS, and stability control system. Shortly after that it would not start, because the battery was dead, twice I had to ump start it I had Auto zone check the Battery and they said it was ok, they said it was the Alternator. I replaced the 130 amp alternator with a 150 amp alternator and after the car sat for several days the battery was dead again, I checked the date and noticed that it was 3 years old and Decided to replaced it with a good AGM battery and had no more problems the warning light went away but came on again. I brought a scan tool Due to watching your show and when i scanned it had, c1441 brake booster malfunction, U0073 control module communication bus A off, c1241 low or high power voltage supply, B1579, U0073, U0129 codes for Navigation System, and B2650 Slide seat Malfunction, this is for drivers seat, i saved all the codes and erased them because i had no problems i could detect any where. Three months later the same error message pops up and when i scan the computer i get these codes, P07E5 Unable to Engage drive (rain and brightness sensor code), C1441 brake booster Malfunction, U0073 Control Module Communication bus A off, C1241 Status current/history - Low or High power supply Voltage, B1579, U0073, navigation system codes, U0129 Lost communication with Brake system control module, P1604 current/history - start ability malfunction, and B2650 Slide sensor Malfunction. The only problem that i have ever noticed was that the drivers seat that would move back when you undo the seat belt and move forward when you engage the seat belt stopped doing that, you can still move the seat any way that you need it.After looking at several episodes of your show i am wondering could it be the Body Control Module that’s bad? And if so would i have to get a professional like you to reprogram it if it’s replaced and if not that module what is the problem? We love this car its is my wife’s car and we only drive it on weekends and when going out of town usually to Michigan where our daughter lives, it currently has 64,000 miles on it and drives like a dream. We live in Chattanooga and will drive to Nashville if necessary for you to do the work. HELP????
Scotty gets thousands of emails but it doesn't hurt to try
