Scotty, I looked at a 2010 Ford Police Interceptor with a really nice interior and right at 100k miles. The car also looks virtually rust free. There might be a whine from the rear end but I need to try and take it to a mechanic. Seller wants $4500 firm. Does it sound like a good buy?
Thanks,
Matt
They are usually weared out and the price is expensive imo.
NO
If it is making noise from the rear, no way $4500. Plus you have to check the idle hours on it.
Every idle hour is equivalent to 33 miles of driving, so do the math and you have your true mileage number. Guys with those cars are usually flippers that buy them for $1500 - $2000 at auction and then try to sell them for more with a "firm" price. There are thousands of Interceptors on the market. Find yourself a better example.
Only if you want to spend all of your time stuck behind a guy going 2mph below the speed limit. 😆
something to dew!
