Where is my Coolant Temperature Sensor located on my 2014 Chrysler 200 S? Also, after replacing it, how do I clear the check engine light?
Which engine do you have: Β the 2.4L I4 or the 3.6L Pentastar V6?
3.6L
The Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor on the 3.6L engine is installed into a water jacket at rear of the cylinder head on the left side of the engine. Β For clearing the CEL (check engine light) do you have a scanner? Itβs easy with the scanner.
Also, if you work on your cars do yourself a favor and get ALLDATAdiy subscription for your car - itβs basically an online service manual with part numbers, diagrams, step-by-step instructions. Β I learned this from Scotty and love it! Β Β

how much $$ is it?
For one car it is $29.95 a year. You can also get a 5-year subscription where you pay $49.95 upfront for the 5 years (this is a better deal assuming one keeps their car for 5 years).
That is quite reasonable considering that a set of printed factory service manuals for my vehicle costs $350 (equiv 12 to 35y of Alldata). And you can't search those for keywords in a matter of seconds like you can with digital. Plus I'm sure you get access to all kinds of TSBs, functions and analytics that you don't get in a manual.
Does Alldata keep some kind of database of user submitted data too?
Not sure if it contains user submitted data. Iβve had it for a few months now so havenβt explored that feature yet, but it does have TSBs. Still learning, but so far itβs helped me a lot as good as some of my printed several hundred dollar manuals.
nice. you're now the alldata man on the forum. Gonna get pinged a lot π
