Should I use High Mileage Synthetic Oil

Hello Scotty!

I have a 2005 Kia Spectra with 120K miles in Colorado. Mine since new, super well-maintained, no problems at all. I've always used full synthetic oil and changed every 7K miles. Never had leaks.

1) Should I switch to High Mileage Synthetic Oil and just keep using regular synthetic?

2) Should I do an engine flush on the next oil change just to keep the engine clean? (never done before)

Appreciate your guidance!

Sergio

High mileage oil is marketing BS. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Flushes are snake oil. Just keep using the full synthetic.

I would not use high mileage until you need to like if you start burning oil or leaking oil . That oil contains additives to help seal leaks . Since you have maintained the car properly you most likely don't need it ; )

I totally agree with all.

Change the oil every 5000 miles and use the same oil you used before.
