Should I use thicker oil?

Hey Scotty

I have bought a 2015 Toyota Corolla LE from USA to drive it in the middle east (Oman) where there is a huge temperature difference between the countries.

Should I be using a slightly thicker oil than the recommended one?

Also, is it a good idea to change the transmission fluid when the car has already 150000 miles on it?

No, use only the recommended oil.

Follow the oil recommendations of the manufacturer, which will state different oil for different ambient temperatures if needed.

See the FAQ for information on changing transmission fluid.
