I recently bought a used 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS from a private party and everytime I start the car it would squeal/ screech when it turns on and it doesn’t continue squealing like it’s the fan belt/ serpentine belt it’s just that sound it Makes and im not sure what it could be and also my rpms are too rich idling.

Most likely the serpentine belt needs to be replaced. Spray some water when it makes noise, if the noise goes away, the belt needs to be replaced.
About the rpm, clean the MAF sensor, IAC valve and and throttle body.

Also check your belt tensioner. The bearing may be going out.
