Starter Motor Short

Hello,

I was removing my starter today and I accidentally shorted the positive pole of the solenoid to the engine block via a wrench. I tested the starter, and the starter itself still works correctly and doesnt seem to have sustained any damage. The short was only connected for a split second, it spit a spark off of the engine block. The fuse box positive had been disconnected for a few days.

This short happened because I removed the positive terminal from the fuse box and not the battery, thinking it was the same connection. I promptly removed the positive battery connection and continued with my maintenance.

Will this short cause any other electrical damage? I'm doing a timing chain replacement, and I need to know if I need to replace anything else before reassembling the vehicle. I'm hoping the ECU/ECM/whatever isn't damaged.

How bad is this **** up?

Will I have messed anything else up by removing the ignition coil and radiator plugs before the battery was disconnected?

The vehicle is a 2007 Saturn Sky base 2.4L LE5 engine with 5L40E auto tranny. 123k miles.

Nah you're probably fine, but I guess you'll find out when you start it up.
