My car is Subaru Impreza 2009 1.5R.
I bought it second hand and I've owned it for almost a year.
Recently I noticed that the side sills have "stickers", and I'm not sure if these are some factory stickers, or the dealer has put them to hide something nasty (I mean rust)
What do you think, what are these and should I try to take them off?

With 'stickers' you point to the strips of tape along the bottom of the shown panels??
When 'yes', I would take a light hammer (light to prevent making dents in case the strips were put on for beauty) and gently tap on that strip on many places.
You will be able to hear/feel one of the following three things:
1. clear metallic sound > good metal present
2. dull sound > rusted metal below the strip on that spot
3. no sound at all and 'denting' the tape > plain air behind the strip on that spot.
