Sudden weird grinding noise in hard turns

So I've had new rear tires fitted monday on my 350z. They are relatively cheap ones as I am about to sell it. Now yesterday I went onto the highway for the first time. First thing Ive noticed is that at higher speeds when switching lanes the rear end suddenly sways a bit when centering after the lane change. The next thing I noticed is that  when I was pulling onto the highway I had to enter the highway in sharp round on-ramp and while turning I heard a sudden grinding noise and the steering wheel and car jerked. After centering it all went away and it doesn't come back till I enter a hard turn at a higher speed.

Anyone have any ideas? It has never done this in 5 years till after I changed the rear wheels. Same with the swaying. The car has passed inspection 2 weeks ago so Itd be odd if there were wornout bearings or balljoints.

hmmm....no issues until you changed the wheels and tires. I'd say that's where you should look for your problem.

Thats what I thought too. Just seems odd. What do you think it could be? Just the fact they are new/cheap tires or an alignment needed? I sorta have a feeling its the steering rack but it seems so sudden

if you have different diameter tires front and back, then the car probably thinks you're losing control

Diameter is the same. Just wider in the back.

diameter is not the same. You need to research what the tire size numbers actually mean.

Ok thanks didnt know this. But Ive had the same sizes before, and never had this issue. Is the extra size from the treading maybe the reason?

So I just had a realization that that jerky stuttering through the corner may very well be my ESP system kicking in. What would cause this to happen after a tire change?  The tires are same size as the previous except a different brand. (275/35/20 in the rear and 255/35/20 in the front)
