I saw your video on Asian cars and that you did not like Suzuki. I have an 05 Suzuki xl7 235k miles and a daily driver. Runs like a charm very low maintenance. Only had to replace the radiator and thermostat. Also had to change fuel pump only because I drove around without a gas cap. Check out early 2000s Suzuki they are really solid cars and suvs you might change your mind like you did with the dodge caravan
Do you live in the US or elsewhere because that was applicable to the US. Also, in Texas and California and states down here you can't find many Suzuki's or people to work on them.
Also, many Suzuki SUV's are rebranded Daihatsu's around the world which is part of Toyota Motor COmpany. During the mid-2000's, Subaru, Suzuki, Daihatsu, and Toyota just rebadged each other's car who knows what that car is underneath.
I had one in the 80's in Iceland before they were sold in the us. Was great for my application there, light 4 wheel drive and simple. Was literally a tin can tho. The issue is new ones are more complex (more to go wrong) and not as well made as then. Getting a pre 2010 car is getting a little long in the tooth so I can't recommend getting one unless there's a specific need/use by customer.
As someone who is surrounded by them a lot, I have a very low opinion of them. They are extremely poorly built, and feel unsafe to drive compared to any other mainstream manufacturer. Yes they are very reliable, but of what use is it if they cannot protect you in the event of an accident?
Toyota or Honda for me, please.
Toyota sells a lot of rebadged Suzukis these days, in the Asian & African markets.
I had 2002 Swift AWD. Car was great, there were features that were better than on 2 yrs old Auris. Only reason I sold it the rust advanced too much since I had bought it rotten 5 years ago.
