Hi Scotty, Love your you tube videos. I have been looking at getting a used Tacoma. The ones I see are built in Texas or Baja California? Would there be a difference in the build quality? Also would you have a different suggestion than a Tacoma, any SUV or truck that could pull a 2500lb boat on weekends? I am not picky just want a good reliable vehicle, must have ability to pull as above, an engine with a timing chain, and reasonable gas mileage. I am done with timing belts. Thank You.
If your towing go for the V8 and you're looking for Toyota can't get much better than that Tacoma sounds like a great choice to me. Since you're looking for a new Truck check out http://www.Autotempest.com to find the best deal in your area : )
If you think you can be happy with very little headroom, a one-size-fits-all front seat (very narrow) with only manual front-back movement, no sound/heat insulation, plastic interior, low crash-test results, marginal braking including rear drum brakes (circa 1950 ?), an 8-speed trans that keeps failing, and several other down sides, sure, get a Tacoma.
Before you do, get the true facts about what else is available ?
BTW, Motor Trend rates the 2020 Tacoma #5 of 7 available, just slightly better than the worst ones, Ranger and Frontier. Check it out yourself ?
