I have a 98 Saturn, and I am not sure which kind of Lucas automatic transmission fluid to use, light or heavy?
Well after having a bit too much fun on a bumpy muddy road with my traction control off, my transmission has some hard shifts.
You may have damaged the transmission in which case the Lucas probably won't help much or for long. The thinner version is meant for the modern multi-speed transmissions developed in recent years. From what I've been able to find online a 25-year-old Saturn uses the old Dexron-III/Mercon transmission fluid, so if you want to try the Lucas additive you'd use the standard stuff.
Heavy
what for?
Well after having a bit too much fun on a bumpy muddy road with my traction control off, my transmission has some hard shifts. I can feel the pressure build and before it shifts, a sold thump is heard.
I remember hearing that there are different types of lucas automatic fluid for different cars, but 8 don't remember the specifics
