Dakota won't crank

I changed the head gasket on my 07 High Output Dakota.  It ran for 10 seconds.  Now, it will only make a clicking noise when I try to start it.

The battery has 12 volts
The starter works when I test it outside the truck
The engine turns and the alternator was replaced.

There is a check engine light that comes on, but the code reader shows "no link"
There is an extra electrical connector towards the back of the engine on the driver side.
However, it looks like it has an end cap on it.

Check your fuses and relays

I checked the fuses. Nothing blown, but the PCM B+ fuse had a drawl of .86.
Relays are good

Connect that mystery wire !

Clicking...bad ground or not enough voltage when cranking, failing battery that has voltage but not enough amperage.

Try a different battery...not jump starting the current one.

I cannot figure out where the wire goes. I was thinking it was extra in case the owner wanted to upgrade something to the engine. I cannot find the connector on any diagram and I don't remember unplugging it.

I removed/reattached 2 grounds on the back of the heads and one on a bolt that fastens down the air filter box.

I have tried a different batter, but it didn't help
