Ticking sound from passenger front 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Sedan

So, after I got my car out of the shop from my trusted mechanic it has been making this noise. While working the on the vehicle he did change my air filters as requested. But this issue can happen without the AC on. As of recently it has started to make the noise even when my car has just turned on. The work he had did on the car was replacing my back brakes and rotors because they were wrapped. The car is a Subaru Impreza 2008 with 115k miles on it. Head gasket vale cover has very little oil seepage to where car isn't burning oil. And that seepage is on the outside of the egine not the inside.

Is it coming from behind the dash area or outside the car?

It sounds like from the dash. We did check the fan and air filter in the dash to see if any dirt or dust got in the fan but it's completely fan. I haven't checked to see if it comes from outside but from the sound sound it. It's coming from the inside, the engine is also too loud to really hear it outside but the next time it does it I'll try to check under the hood.

From the looks of it. We believe it's coming from this. My dad held it down and it stopped, I also discovered it only happens when the car is in gear, while in park it stops.

I have included a picture below.

That’s the air intake plumbing. Check for any loose or cracked clips.

Or the intake hose is tapping against something while the car vibrates, when in gear.
