I have a 2007 Toyota Sequoia SR5 2WD Automatic with 180k miles on it. I live in Augusta GA but will be making multiple trips to Mississippi this year and 1 trip to Alabama. What are the best tires to buy that will last, but also keep a smooth ride? Also I plan on going up a size from stock P245/70/R16 to a 265 /75 R16
Tires have been discussed here before so you might want to use the site search function. A few suggestions:
Budget: WalMart "Douglas" tires (made by Goodyear)
Mid-price: General Altimax
Best: Michelin
Avoid cheap Chinese-made tires.
That’s quite an increase in tire size which will affect the accuracy of your speedometer and may alter the braking performance and handling characteristics as well as the fitment on your vehicle. Have you considered increasing instead to a 265/65 R16? The website tiresize.com may provide useful dimension comparison information.

Don't
It depends on what you want. For a budget then I recommend getting Douglas or Goodyear from Walmart. But if you want tires to last longer even with a budget then I recommend Sam's club cause they got really long lasting tires for a good price. I personally buy Pirelli Tires cause I have noticed they have the deepest thread compared to other tires. Also Sam's club do free tire rotation and wheel balancing for a certain amount of miles, I believe upto 20k miles. Walmart doesn't do that, you have to pay Walmart to do tire rotation and wheel balancing.

Why? Increasing the tire size alone, does not mean you achieve a better ride. You're suggesting a 3.5 inch increase in the radius of your wheels and that will have unintended consequences. Use the largest recommended size tire for your vehicle then select a set of tires from a brand/series having a reputation for a comfortable ride.
