Hey Scotty. What do you think would be a good purchase. Toyota Camry SE 2012 V.6 salvage title private 88.2 miles for 9,500 Or Toyota Camry SE 2014 clean title Dealership v.4 164,800 miles for 9,995
Stay away from the 2012-2014 Camrys. Torque converter and transmission issues.
Neither is good, besides the fact that you shouldn’t buy salvage cars. In fact, I would avoid the 2012-2014 Toyota Camry’s with the 6-speed AT (U760E) as some have had transmission issues (which can require a full replacement):

Well personally I would buy neither one because of the questionable automatic transmissions of those years, but if I had to pick, I would go with a clean title since ur gambling with a salvage title. I would suggest u to look at 2015 Camrys maybe and see if u can find a good price on one. I have a friend who has a 2015 Camry xle 4 cylinder and it runs like a clock and has no issues with the transmission since that's the year it got a refresh and fixed the issues.
I will stick with camry....salvage title always have issues
we have a '14 Camry SE in the family that has been trouble free for 75k, serviced the transmission and coolant yesterday
even a "bad" camry is still pretty good lol
I have a 2014 with 60K. I love it but I have no doubt that the shudder will develop, probably north of 100K. My daughter's 2012 developed it around 125K, the tranny had to be replaced not long after. $5000 bucks. I am doing drain and fills every 20K and praying.
thats about all that you can do, i been hoping they knew about the issue and was fixed by the time the '14s were built
thanks for that, i titled it to my kid and they probably trashed it without reading lol
