Unfortunately, the 09 XRS version of the Matrix is the one flavor of Matrix you SHOULD NOT buy. The XRS model has the 2.4 liter engine, which that year had major oil burning problems due to bad piston rings ( in Camry's and Scions of that year.too).

Look for one with the 1.8 engine (I'm enjoying mine!)

miles are good butt i would not pay that much i just saw a one foe 3500 it was a auto 

I checked on cargurus (yeah I know, probably not the best way to check) and all of them I saw that year with comparable mileage were a decent amount more than 5500 around here anyway (central KY).  I'd try to talk them down a bit but I think its a good buy if its mechanically sound. 

I cant see your pics because it says I don't have access, but if the frame and such is solid and nothing is rusted out I'd be tempted to get it.

If it passes a mechanical inspection, it would be a decent deal. At $4000, it would become a great deal in my opinion.

But definitely have a pro check it out prior to purchase.

Great car, basically a Corolla. They're even called a Corolla Verso in EU. Especially the manual, plenty of life left in it
