Noticed my Tacoma groaning about a week ago. I just did the 'quickie flush' w/ new fluid - even used a soft paint brush to gently swab the screen (loosen gunk). Well, gunk did come out but I haven't removed the reservoir to check screen.
Wheel still turns easily and you wouldn't even know there's a problem w/ a loud radio blaring. But (with no radio) the noise is still evident while parking. Suspect back side of screen still clogged?
I plan to follow this thru until problem is solved, but how bad do you suppose is it to drive around a bit like this in meantime?

Yeah take it all apart and clean the screen maybe flush it again and driving around and believe it or not I find it using fully synthetic power steering fluid can often make them stop make noise it's a better fluid that can take heat better
