You’ve all been a great help over the years - thank you for the sound advice. I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra 2WD TRD 4.7L SR5, automatic transmission with 308k miles. Everything running and shifting fine. I’ll soon be changing tranny fluid.
I plan to drop and thoroughly clean the pan, change filter, refill with synthetic tranny oil, but NOT flush the tranny.
Any suggestions on tranny filter and gasket brand? Are most ok so long as don’t go cheap?
Any other pointers or watch-outs that come to mind when changing tranny fluid? I love my old Tundra!
I should have mentioned That the tranny was serviced at 100k and 200k mike the same way described above. This time, I plan to do the job myself.
