Transmission Fluid

Hello, I have a 2010 Toyota Matrix 1.8L, manual transmission with 260 000km on it. I have been the owner for 30 000km. I am not sure if the transmission fluid has ever been changed. My manual says to use 75w gear oil, but I can’t find that anywhere. I have found 75w-90, and even 75w-140 synthetic. Would either of those work? What would you recommend. Will changing the fluid make it shift smoother? Thanks!

It won't change the shifting much, but it's still a good idea to do it.

Have you seen this on Amazon?

It might help, but at that low mileage, probably not.

260,000km is low miles?

Oh sorry, for some reason I thought I saw 26,000 instead of 260,000. My mistake.
