Hey scotty, I'm trying to decide which truck to get, Would it be better to get a 2017 or older f150 that had the regular port fuel injected v8 and 6 speed auto compared to the newer ones that had problems with the direct injected v8s and 10 speed autos in terms of longevity

V8 F-150 is not a bad idea. The 10 speed auto is not great not horrible made with GM the same unit used in GM trucks.

I got a 1990 F150 5.0 V8 LOL its old but I love them, only 86,000 miles on it but the truck itself looks as though it went to hell and back.
