Hello,
I have a 2017 Honda Civic Tourer 1.6 DTEC which has done just over 70,000 miles. I would like to keep this car as long as possible and try and get it to 200,000 miles. Is there any specific I should be doing to maintain this particular model?
Maintain a strict schedule for all lubrication and fluids, spark plugs, filters, valves and belts. Oil, oil filter and pcv valve at 5000 miles maximum. Keep an ear out for any cold start rattle, which indicates it's time for a new timing chain set.
No spark plugs for those DTEC engines, it also might rattle on cold start anyway which is normal.
Yep, diesels don't have spark plugs.
There you have some general info about diesel maintenance

Some of the Honda Civic Diesels came with the ZF 9-speed (ZF HP9).
If you have the automatic 9 speed, no matter what you are going to do - I don't see how it could last up to 200k miles. This transmission, ZF 9HP, It's the weak spot even on the what in my opinion are the worst built cars, the Jeep Renegade, Fiat 500X and Chrysler 200.
What you really want to do is replace the fluid inside of that transmission every 30k miles with the OEM spec, if possible also replace the filter each time. When shifts get slow, rough, or begin to randomly shift into neutral - it's time to dump the thing.
Although Japanese diesels have never been the best, but the Honda N16A engine seems reasonably reliable - not much information is available on it. Change your engine oil and filter frequently (5k-7.5k miles) and if possible replace the fuel filter frequently.
