Uncomfortable Highlander seat

Hi Scotty,

Enjoy your videos and hope you can help us. We own a 2001 Toyota Highlander, with 258k well-maintained miles. We did some body damage to the front bumper and it would have to be replaced and the air conditioner has quit working as it needs a new AC system (compressor is shot.) It is also very uncomfortable for me on the passenger seat as I am disabled and need to be able to recline at times. My question is - at this point, would it be better for us to sell it and get a different car that is more comfortable, or continue to fix up our Highlander with the high mileage, despite it's uncomfortable seat? Or, can you replace seats with more comfortable ones? We are two large/tall people, but we don't really need an SUV at this point, just something on the larger side, if it is better to buy another vehicle. But, no matter what, I need comfort. Any suggestions there?

In your case, I think it’s best to check out & test drive a few different vehicles & vehicle styles to find your perfect match.

It’s much easier (and more reliable) to find a car which suits your needs from the factory rather than messing around with something that might still not work perfectly well.

All the best & happy new year!
