Scotty,
I recently bought a used 2019 Ford Flex SE from my local Ford dealership. I am wondering if there is a way to upgrade the systems (stereo, gauges, A/C controls) inside it to match the titanium or at least the SEL model?
My SE only has a coolant temperature hidden in the display and would like to be able to see the engine temp and such. All I have on the display is the speedometer and a tachometer. I'd sure would love to be able to see the engine temp, oil pressure and other things normally shown on the dashboard.
I would also like to be able to set a temp and the system either cool or heat the interior of the car. Right now I'm only able to guess a temp on the knob by the colors of red/blue and a fan control. The car does have the rear controls for the passengers which is nice. However, when my wife and kids are in the car with me they're always complaining it's too hot and mess with all the controls and/or complain, making me have to change it.
As for the stereo it sounds good enough and I've got Bluetooth connectivity and a cd player. Instead of the nice 7" touch screen that in both my wife's and my daughter's Escape vehicles, I've got a small, maybe 3", display with a ton of buttons on the each side of it. I'm an Android phone user and the system doesn't always work to play music over the Bluetooth connection. I'd prefer to be able to plug in my phone and get the Android auto screens instead.
Can you tell me if there is a way to upgrade all these systems and how to accomplish them?
I would be more than happy to supply pictures of you tell me how I can send them to you.
Looking forward to your response.
Well upgrading can be a real pain in the wazoo cuz you wanted to do all kinds of things. If you want better sound and things like that, yeah you can get one's. But if you want them to operate all the systems that can be near to impossible to do correctly. Now I have seen guys do that and accurate but they have special systems. You can buy the control everything but those things are like 750 bucks too. As far as I know they don't make them for your make
