Inaccurate speedometer after new transmission

2011 ford mustang automatic v6 3.7L 205,000 miles. New battery.

Recently had the transmission replaced twice. The first was faulty and covered by warranty the second also needed work. The shifter cable was replaced and the speedometer is showing incorrect ever since the very beginning of the second replacement (never before). The dealer says that after testing the cluster gauge and sensors that everything is pointing to the pcm but won’t say it’s that for sure. They say that the transmission is reading and sending the correct speed to the pcm but the pcm is sending the incorrect speed to the cluster. It turns out that the part is hard to find anyways, so I’ve come here for guidance. I appreciate all thoughts and opinions on this situation. What could cause this issue and how would I fix this?

Well, if your speedometer was working before they switched it out they screwed something up. Now. If it wasn't working then yeah it could be the computer or the dash. But I'm assuming the thing worked before they did all their work, in which case they either sold you a crappy transmission that doesn't interface with your car's computer system, which is certainly a possibility because unless it's the same exact transformation from the same exact made car. If it's an older or newer transmission, it may not mesh with the software of your car

@scottykilmer You’d be correct to assume that it was working properly before! What are the options to resolve the issue that I’m having? A refurbished pcm and/or a different transmission?
