Hi Scotty, recently I bought a Toyota Corolla 2001(4AFE engine) with 157000 miles. The cylinder test result was 155 psi and I think it is too close to the minimum (but i'm not a car expert). My doubt is that if it is a good a idea to do an overhaul right now or use the car some more time and then do it. The timing belt was changed recently by the last owner. The next thing I'm going to do is bought a seal kit(distributor o-ring, all camshaft seals, valve cover gasket and the oil retainer seals) and change everything except for the head gasket. The car is fine except for the cylinders test result that again, I think is low but I'm not an expert.
I'm going to use it for commutting and probably do 1800 kms monthly.
I think you are overthinking things. I would just drive it and enjoy it.
your car is fine just drive it
