Volkswagen leaking oil

My 2015 Volkswagen tiguan, with a little over 67k miles, has been a nightmare since I regrettably purchased it at 37k miles. Heating for the cabin went out around 45k, and more recently my rear differential went out at right around 61k miles leaving me stranded in Savanah, GA. I live in Eastern NC. Dealership claimed they have "never" seen this before and asked me if I was pulling to much weight with the car... quoted me at over 3k to fix it. Took it to my local mechanic who luckily found a used one to put in there. Not to my surprise I noticed my car has started going through oil, more than it normally does. No visible leaks under the car around the plug. Just changed my oil today and found the evidence I was looking for. Looks like some sort of gasket or valve cover has gone bad? Anyways, above the oil pan to the right the whole area on the right side of the engine (if your under the car looking up) is wet with oil. Not enough to drip off because it is probably burning off before it gets to that point. Looks like a seal or gasket is there that goes around the whole right side(left side if your looking at the front of the car and down at the engine) of the engine block and you can even see the oil residue looking at the top of the engine. I have pics but not sure I can attach them. Any suggestions?

Did they do any work on your transmission or transfer case when they did the rear differential?

Was just charged for the rear differential replacement, nothing about transmission(which sucks) . Its an AWD car and I had the fluid changed for that(AWD clutch fluid?) maybe about 5k miles before the rear dif went out. Not sure if there is any correlation. I think this has been a problem with my car since I got it, but now it is just becoming a lot more noticeable where I can visibly see engine oil seeping out around some sort seal on the left side of the engine ( looking down at it from the front of the car). Hard to find any type of engine diagram the specifically lists the name of that part. Covers the crank shaft I think.

Sounds like Oil Pan Gasket or rear main seal. I’d recommend selling it if you can cut your losses. It’s not going to get better things will just keep breaking on it to be honest. Sounds like the dealer maybe sold you a flood car. I’d look under the seats or maybe pull the carpet back in a spot and look for rust or mold under it and see if it was flooded with all the issues your having
