2003 Volvo S60 190,000 miles. Had both battery and alternator tested a bunch of times and both are good. After poking around ,pulling fuse#32 after parking the car would keep the battery charged. Can I send the CEM to xemodex myself or should I have a Volvo mechanic run a diagnostics ($140) and make sure that is what is wrong? Also the dash goes out intermittently and the cluster might need work. Also, also the transmission is starting to slip and already tries Lucas slip fix. I’m hoping fixing the CEM helps the car run better but is it also time to look for a new car instead of dumping money in everything?
Also, also, also burns oil. Might be pistons but I never see smoke out the back so I’m thinking PCV valve.
Look for another car.
Thx for the quick response.
Drive it directly to the crusher.
