Hello, I have a problem with the car and I hope for your help. The car is a 2011 Toyota RAV4, 65,000 miles. Water flows from somewhere under the carpet on the driver's side not under the mats but under the carpet, at night when it rains, the car is filled with water under the carpet only on the driver's side, the passenger's side is dry. I have no idea what it could be. I hope for your help.

Thanks.

With best wishes.

Drains for the HVAC system are probably clogged up.

The car does not works, does not move, during the rainy nights, clear water under the carpet, under the carpet !?!

Doesn't matter if the car is running, moving, or doing anything. If it's sitting out in the rain, that rain enters the HVAC air intake and if the drains are clogged water backs up and can leak into the passenger compartment - under the carpet depending where the water comes out. I had that happen in my Jeep. If you have a sunroof the drains for that would also be a prime suspect as @mmj pointed out. Just like in a house, in a car when drains clog the water has to go somewhere.

The passenger site is dry!?! {black}:idontknow:

The water coming from the driver's corner under the dashboard {black}:idontknow:

Another possibility is a leak around the windshield. It is not unusual at all for a water leak to be on only one side.

I had an Olds Cutlass. The window seal on the outside (the rubber piece that scrapes the window when it lowers) was cracked and missing sections. The door would fill with water, and would subsequently drain into the floor board.

The water coming from the driver's corner under the dashboard, not from the door......!?!

Worn/cracked weatherstripping on windshield

weatherstripping doesn't seal out rain. The adhesive does. But that could faulty too.
