Hello, Mr. Kilmer and the community!

The dealership website's pictures are cleaner than blow but, I am wondering if this truck got flood damage.

Can I judge by the pictures? (carfax history is clean https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory/p/Report.cfx?partner=DEY_0&vin=1FTEW1CP0KKC32379&_ga=2.173055971.1193182261.1613354737-1503581164.1613354737)

P.S I wonder if I can put the dealership's link here that could offend, so I skip it. The above link is not the dealership's pictures.

Please tell me if this information is not enough to deserve an answer. Thank you, sir.

Legally they HAVE TO TELL YOU whether it's been flooded wrecked or stolen and it will say on the title. Ask to see the title before considering a purchase and if it has been flooded and they didn't report it on the title they can get in big trouble and you could easily sue them on top of it. If the title says salvaged WALK

Thanks for your comment, sir. I still wonder why they try to deceive customers with a very crude mind.

If you can’t tell from inspecting the cabin interiors, crawl under the seats & look at the seat rails/bolts. If you see rust, odds are the truck was flooded.

Look for rust in places where there normally would never be rust, such as electrical connectors (OBD2 port, fuse box, etc).

I learned something good technique from you. Thank you, sir.

Red flag perhaps? "Fuel tank drained and cleaned" shows as part of service on 11/11/2020. Why? Odd service on such a new vehicle. Odd service on any vehicle driven and serviced normally! Fwiw.

F.S.

That's a good point! It was suspicious even in my eyes. Thanks for your clarification.

CARFAX reported it was serviced 4 times...within 3 months time...AND it's only 20 miles difference between the first service & the last.  HUGE red flag for me!  And as one other said, the fuel tank was drained & cleaned in one of those services.  Drained & cleaned of WHAT?  That's not normal unless you pump bad gas into it (water or other bad stuff) on a newer vehicle.  "Servicing" a vehicle & not reporting what the reason was...I would walk away!

Super helpful comment sir, Thank you. I just wondered why they try to conceive customers.

They do it because ignorance of the facts...are bliss (& profitable)! As Scotty has said time after time after.....they wanna sell you a vehicle. Sales people work on commission. The higher the price, the more they make. And believe me when I say this: my father was a car sales manager for most of my childhood. They push the sales reps to sell as many vehicles as possible, for the most profit possible. And that means they will sell you ANYTHING that you can drive, regardless of it's condition.
Sure, they'll claim some kind of a "warranty"...but READ! THE! FINE! PRINT! That warranty is there for THEIR benefit, not yours.
