I have a 2007 Tundra 5.7L w/ close to 245k miles. I went out of town and left my truck sitting for almost 3 days. When I started it up this morning it had this strange smell (the best way I can describe it is “burning pollen”) normally when I start my truck it has this fuel smell. It also had medium sized gray/white smoke initially then it immediately became less (the exhaust had that same odor briefly). When I shifted it from park to drive (it had a slight delay but I could feel it engaging) it shifted kinda hard at first and now it’s back to normal. Either my truck doesn’t like sitting or there’s something going on that I don’t know.
Well the first thing I would say is have your battery load tested. You could have a weak battery and if the battery is weak, the ignition system the fuel system will not work correctly and all kinds of wacky things can happen. Pray it's something as simple as just an old worn out battery
