Hey Scotty , help!
My gf bought a 5 mounth ago 2013 Ford fiesta for 5k with this thash dual-clash, I tell her that if was not good idea at all but she made what she made. Well car now has 50k miles, she told me that she drove a car and it start slowing down and then stop moving, she putting feet on the gas and it's raving engine but car is not moving. Guy who tow the said that trany is ok. What it can be and it worth to fix it?
Can you give more info on the "guy who towed" ? Is he a trustable mechanic or someone random?
Make sure your battery is good. A battery that can start that little Ford may not be strong enough to keep the TCM happy and you'll get a TCM code. Check the cable connections and grounds too.
Then inspect the harness from the TCM to the ECM for any chaffing/damage.
To narrow it down you have to read the codes.
For example, a common issue with those are the 2 clutch actuator motors. (one for each clutch). You can replace them without removing the transmission
Each has a clutch position sensor which is part of the motor. Each clutch position sensor provides clutch position feedback to the TCM for clutch control.
They're identical and interchangeable so if you get a code on "A", you can swap it with "B" and if the code moves with the actuator motor's new position, then you know you need to replace it.
If the code doesn't move it's likely a wiring/circuit issue .
So, getting the codes read is the 1st step

Code Examples:

Did you scan it for codes? If not, try that first.
