Hyundai Santa Fe how to extend engine life

Hi Scotty (and team),

I have a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T AWD and just had the small block replaced at 107k miles as part of the Theta II GDI engine class action settlement with Hyundai Motors.  It was replaced under warranty so no cost to me.  My question is this: what, if anything, can I do beyond 'normal' maintenance to extend the life of the engine, and are there any potential surprises in store for me by marrying a new block to other parts that have 100k+ miles on them?  The service manager at the dealership that did the work told me I could drive it like I stole it.

Thanks for all your videos.  Always educational, always entertaining.

yeah they are probably built those engines wrong but if they did it right it's okay the only problem I find is often these days mechanics of dealerships have very little experience and actually rebuilding engines and they often screw up I've seen those Korean cars being fixed by the dealer and in a year later they blow up again

My professional opinion is that these engines run really hot and the turbo burns the oil. Use a high quality synthetic oil and filter and change it regularly. My wife's '13 Santa Fe 2.0T has 175,000km and has never had an issue, except when I used a lesser grade synthetic (not all created equal) and noticed deposits in the engine, blackened oil and flakes clogging the VVT solenoid. Other than that one time I'm using Amsoil OE and Amsoil filter, changed every 5,000km. Engine is super clean inside.
