Hello, I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze 1.8L with the manual 6 speed transmission. I just hit 100,000 miles so I'm doing a ton of preventative maintenance. My owners manual says the manual transmission fluid does not need to be changed ever. I would like to change it. Problem is I'm not sure what type to use. I believe the transmission is a m32. Never had a problem with this vehicle and hoping to keep it running till it rusts out up here in Maine.

This article on the M32 trans points out some weak points and recommends GM part #1940004 75W90 transmission oil (original factory fill):
