Where can I find a good 25-year-old Sienna?

Been looking at least a year for a good 98'-99' Toyota Sienna, but they all seem to be every but where I am.  I live in Missouri, so I constantly look on craigslist and facebook, but the older Sienna's seem to be in the pacific northwest-California and the East.  I usually do my research on Carcomplaints.com before I buy a used car.  The 98'-99s' have the least major complaints from customers and I can only spend around $$5,000.  Their issues seem to be related to interior/exterior type cosmetic problems ( broken door handles, etc.).  Issues I may be able to fix myself.  I'm a 60+yr. old lady, who is not a mechanic or rich.  I mostly care about a good engine/transmission/body.  I could care less about the frills.  Can anybody tell me how or where to find a good older Sienna when you live in the midwest?  Also, nearly every potential seller says they don't seem to know when the timing belt/water pump has been replaced, which sounds like nonsense to me.  I keep EVERY receipt for maintenance on my little 2000 Echo and I almost treat it like a family member, so I know to stay away from sellers who tell me this.  Which unfortunately, is most of them.  I'd appreciate any advice from Scotty's community on how to find good older Toyota's.  I am willing to travel to get a good car, but how do you properly inspect it if you live hundreds of miles away?  I've considered Toyota Previa's also, but I'm aware of the issues I'd run in to with them.  Is there a good brand of van out there that I may not know about that can compare with the older Toyota Sienna's?  Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks!

A quarter-century old vehicle is not a good fit in that situation. Age alone is going to bring problems and most will not have survived this long. There's no definitive way to find a good vehicle that old either. If you find one a distance away you'd have to hire someone in that area to inspect it for you that would hopefully give an honest appraisal.
