I would choose the 2015 Camry. This car can last a really long time and the 6 speed automatic transmission with either the four or 6 cylinder Toyota engine is a solid unit.

In terms of reliability and overall quality, the Camry is still better than the Mazda6.  The Mazda6 is still a good vehicle (just avoid 2018+ MY as they included cylinder deactivation in their 2.5L NA engines) but if you plan to keep for as long as possible and put as much mileage on it then the Camry is the way to go.

It you are trying to get the most life out of the vehicle, then get the 2015-2017 Camry (get the newest you can afford).   But if you need something for a few years the Mazda CX-5 is fine.

Yes it seems high, $10000 max for me. I'd look into the Civic and Camry as well, those would last a long time. The CX-5 is a good SUV but not as good as Toyotas.

@DayWalker nailed it. The CX-5 is an overall good SUV. Its worth consideration, but if you afford it the refreshed Camry is a good bet for reliability. The later the year better 2017>2016>2015 and avoid 2012-2014 if possible. It is also important to note the V6 engine is suprisingly fast for a Camry and came with a stronger transmission. For that money I would go Camry because the CX-5 is overpriced. I say your new post but anything over $12000 is too much for a 7 year old CX-5.

The Camry is the better car for quality and longevity.

The newer Mazdas are better than the old ones, but not on par with Toyota/Honda.

My friends friend is selling a 2015 Mazda cx5 with 42k from what I can see it looks like it was taken care of he is asking $15,500 also I wrote in before asking which to chose from 2015 thru 2017 camry which I been looking at and like so between the two which one would you lean towards I dont I'm a single guy with no dogs so I really dont need an suv but since it a private owner I thought maybe he would go down on price I have been a Toyota guy I have 1996 carolla with 232,000 miles what would scotty say can you ask him please ? Does he read some of these questions thank you Carmine

Yes he reads some of them, not all of them. He responds via the forum when there are 0 answers, otherwise answers a few of them in an upcoming video.

That's a bit high imho. Camry, Accord, Civic are all a good choice. If you look at Hondas...look for ones with a regular engine (no turbo).

The Mazda 6 is a great vehicle, but the Camry would last longer (assuming the bloody transmission isn't shuddering)

This is a correction to my previous question about Mazda cx5 he is asking $14,500 2015 42k not $15,500 4 cylinder, it seems high to me he only drives it in the summer months he has a Toyota 4 runner for the winter but insurance is higher on an suv then a sedan so which do you think over all for quality and longevity the Camry I have been liking the Honda civic also

This is your third duplicate question. Please stop. Just update your original question instead making new ones. Thanks.

@mountainmanjoe You can't edit it actually when the post been there for a long time lol. You can post an another question lol.

@trooper34 I will still ask it for $10000 still. The Camry and the Honda Civics are good vehicles. Test drive them both to see what you like.

@alvin

By update, I mean add to it.
