2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE 48k miles automatic transmission (2.5L)

2018 Mazda CX-5 Touring 42k miles automatic transmission (2.5L NA, no cylinder deactivation)

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback 24k miles automatic transmission (2.0L)

Look at reliability/cost of ownership and performance/handling. As well as any other opinions y'all might have (this forum has an opinionated bunch and I love it).

These are all cars that it seems Scotty has given a thumbs up towards in one way or another, so they're all good options imo. I just wanted to hear your thoughts on these cars based on your experiences either owning the cars or working on the cars or both.

And they're all made in Japan!

Overall, I would choose the CX5 personally.  I like the styling and the interior quality better.

But for reliability, the RAV4.  It is basically a Camry underneath. And Camry’s are known to last forever.

I’m not really into hatches, though the Corolla is a good choice.

This doesn't matter; Toyota has been manufacturing cars in the U.S. for years now and what matters is that they're all Toyota quality.

I would personally go with the Rav4. I haven't driven this model year but the newer generation I have and I think it's a roomy 5 seat SUV. Depending on where you live and used car prices you might want to consider buying new if you can wait for one to come. In my area you can buy a new base Rav4 at the same price as this used 2018 model.

Either one of them that you pick definitely have your trusted mechanic check them out.
