Hi Scotty,
I have a 2016 Camry SE with 160 K. Bought it used at 100 K and drained and filled the transmission at 104 K plan to do it again in the spring. Despite regular maintenance, do you think I will be replacing the transmission before my engine once I get into the mid 200Ks? The reason I ask is that is what happened with my previous car, a 2013 Corolla. The tranny went out at 270 K although the engine was still running strong. My mechanic told me it had to do with all of the moving parts in a tranny and the wear and tear over time. Thanks.

who knows how it was driven or maintained before you bought it. Just maintain it the best you can, drive it responsibly, and hope for the best. Toyota transmissions are generally pretty good.
What happened to the 2014 Camry L?
I still have it. Its running fine.
I wonder if anyone who owns or has owned a Camry could share
That's what the carcomplaints.com website is for.
Take it with a grain of salt though.
But I think you need to stop worrying so much. This car has a very good transmission. One of the best.
Even if you only got 270k like your last car .... that's still pretty good. Automatics generally don't last much longer than that.
although the engine was still running strong.
Normal. I would say automatic transmissions wear out before the engine more than 50% of the time.
At least they're cheaper to replace.

There's no way to tell in the absence of a working crystal ball. Mine's in the shop, maybe someone else here has one in working order.
That makes sense. I wonder if anyone who owns or has owned a Camry could share whether or not they've had to replace their transmission with higher mlleage?
I've seen automatic transmissions go over 300K miles if well cared for. However there are way too many variables to say how long a particular unit is going to last.
