Winter here in Buffalo NY is far from over so, How would a 04-05 Mercury Sable with the 3.0 Duratec v6 be as a winter beater? Was gonna see if there is any granny driven ones on craigslist.

They aren't very well made cars. That said, if you just want something to drive and do not care if it lasts, you can find them cheap. Just make sure you do not spend much at all as they are worth little to nothing these days.

They were okay cars but they weren't that great either. As strictly a winter beater those might be just what you are looking for. However, they are worth nothing so if you are going to buy one pay hardly anything.
