Would you trade in 2022 CR-V EX-L with 5,000 miles on it for a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited?

Worried about all the Videos Scotty does about Hyundai Worried Transmission Problems, reliability etc. Scotty Love Your Videos. Please reply quickly as I need a fast solution

REASON FOR TRADE IN: I have to transport 97 yr Mom 4’10” saying CR-V too high and difficult to climb into and out of, also need cargo space to put  Rollator Walker and food shopping bags & have to Move College Student 2 times a year with lots of crap.

Concerned about ease of entry exit for Short Mom, and overall reliability of 2022 Tucson Limited along with safety as it will eventually become the college kid’s car in about 4 years. Also have to be able so get it out of NY snow drifts when parked out side. 97 yr Mom complaint on CR-V is that it bounces around like a truck over Ripley Roads.(I am known to be a very smooth driver my Mom, so it’s not my drive style).

Another reason for trading in the 2022 CR-V EXL is that did not come equipped with surround view camera and better headlights. Also the front hood curves up like wings making it difficult to see the curb when turning.

Is the newer 2022 Tucson Limited just as crappy as past Hyundai’s? I can’t afford to get stuck somewhere especially with Mom in tow.
OR
Should I wait and trade in the CR-V for the 2023 updated model which seems to lack fog lights and LED turn signals. Not sure if Honda is producing a Non Sport Touring Model with all bells and whistles.

I would never trade even my lawn mower for anything made by Hyundai.

I would not do that. Consider something in the Toyota or Honda line up.

Have you considered AWD Camry or Avalon? They can be good options for your situation.

About this, just rent a car for those times if it is needed.

Not on your life

You seem to be focused on gadgets/bells and whistles. The 2 cars are very close in size and design, so the ride and cargo volume and ease of entry are going to be about the same. But even if you don't care about quality and longevity, you might want a car that doesn't catch fire.

Going from CR-V to any Hyundai/Kia product means moving from reliability to garbage on four wheels. See the new CR-V when it's released, Toyota RAV4, Camry, Accord based on if you want suv or sedan.

If the goal is reliability, stick with a Honda or Toyota over the Hyundai/Kia.

If the goal is all the bells and whistles, get the Hyundai/Kia.

Have you test driven the Tucson with your mom along? Not sure if it will be any easier for her to get in and out of, or whether it has a more comfortable ride.
Plus reviews that I have read report that the engine is “sluggish” and the transmission is “clunky”.
And you already know that the general consensus on this forum is that Hyundai is an inferior product.

Hyundai has not shown they are willing to get better with time, so I would not hold my breath the new ones are any better.

You would be making a grave mistake switching into a Hyundai Motor Group product.
