| I have a 2016 Corolla with 117,000 miles now. I just had the transmission shifter cable replaced due to excess driving. my mechanic suggested to change the Transmission Fluid as well (Never been changed). He said It looked burnt, but am hesitant knowing once the fluid reaches a certain mileage, to leave It, or the transmission could start slipping. my mechanic said that only applies to cars from the 2000s, and the fluid can be changed. What Should I do? I don't want to ruin the transmission. | |||||

| The car was running fine and suddenly doesn't want to Idle. Check and make sure It's getting fuel. It sat In a garage for 10 years, this could be a clogged filter, bad fuel pump or other fuel delivery Issue. | |||||

| Update- not good. I dropped the pan and put on a new filter, and new fluid. Drained 6.5 quarts In total. Car started right up, fluid level good. Took It to autozone to dispose of old fluid (checked fluid level again) went to the store, and then drove home (20+ miles with car being shut off three times). As I pulled Into my neighborhood I had to shut off my car to open a gate with a fob on my key chain. Started the car back up and It started Idling up and down really rough. I got on the gas so It wouldn’t stall and pulled up to my apartment where It stalled as I got Into a parking space. It kept stalling when trying to start It back up. Right now I’m unsure what to do. Also kind of hard to recheck transmission fluid level If I can’t keep the car running. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks. | |||||

| Hey Scotty, Just bought myself a 2005 toyota Sequoia SR5 4X4 with 110,000 miles on It. Service records don't show any history of transmission/differential fluid ever being changed but all other history looks great. Is It safe to change this fluid at this age/mileage or Should I leave well enough alone? For what Its worth everything runs 100% flawlessly, 100% of the time. Thank you! | |||||

| 2017 Camry SE needs transmission service. 100K miles do I do a drain and fill or flush and fill. Thanks. | |||||

| That relatively low miles. I would only do a drain and refill and never flush the transmission fluid. I would change It every 30k miles to extend the life of the transmission. | |||||

| I recently purchased a 2003 Taurus SES with the Vulcan 3.0. Car only has 47 thousand miles. Should I change the trans fluid or leave It? I know they’re notorious for having bad transmissions, but this one shifts smooth as of now, thanks. | |||||

| I just bought a 2015 Toyota rav4 with 63153 miles. I want to know If I Should change the transmission fluid. I was wondering If I can do It myself. I am very mechanical. But I have seen that these trannis are very picky about the amount of fluid In them. If you are In Clarksville TN, I live less than 2 hours from there, I would like to come there and let you change It and make a video of It. Let me know what you think. I'm retired and am pretty open to when I could come. Thanks Karl | |||||

| my 2008 Toyota Highlander has 162,000 miles on It. When I had It Into the dealer for an oil change the Service Advisor told me I was way overdue for an Transmission fluid flush and change. I have had this car since 2012 and the dealer has never suggested a Transmission fluid change. A mechanic friend told me that If I have never changed the fluid It Should not be changed with over 150000 miles on It because the new fluid would damage the transmission. Any Ideas? | |||||
