| Answer to: 2012 Ford Fusion Transmission Issues | 13Relevance | 2 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| When is the last time the transmission was serviced? Is there enough fluid? What is its condition. Products like Lucas "anti-slip" are basically snake oil. Sometimes they can help temporarily if one is at the "nothing to lose by trying" stage. You would likely be seeing other symptoms if it were a general electrical system problem but it's pretty easy to have the battery and alternator load-tested. Really the best diagnosis would come from a transmission expert using a professional-grade scan tool, if you have a good independent shop available. (Dealers and chains are to be avoided.) Although not the top complaint, transmission problems are fairly common in those cars: | |||||
| Answer to: Is the Ford Fusion hybrid worth it? | 13Relevance | 2 years ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| That's the last place you want to look for a car, let alone a hybrid. The people renting them don't care about them. All they're after, is getting their deposits back when they're done using them. The rental agency doesn't drive with you, and people tend to be harder on rental cars than their own cars. It's not their problem when it breaks, it's the company's. | |||||

| Answer to: How to safely lift Ford Fusion 2013 with floor jack and jack stands | 13Relevance | 2 years ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I also had a 2013 fusion and encountered the same thing. Depending on what you're working on, you might invest in some Rhino ramps for oil changes and stuff like that. Then, you won't need to jack up the car, you can drive on the ramps. | |||||

| Hello! After watching the Scotty Kilmer videos, I am inspired to work on my car. I recently bought a 3-ton floor jack(Pittsburgh) and 3-ton jack stands (Daytona). I want to know how to properly jack up a 2013 Ford fusion. My car is a unibody, and the manual only mentions one jack point between two notches along the pinch weld for the front and rear(which I have located). My question is, since only one jack point is shown, how would I use the jack and jack stands at the same time? Should I place my jack a few inches over from the notches on the pinch weld and ... | |||||

| That model year was still based on a Volvo unibody, so it was more reliable than the newer, 1.6L EcoBoost fusions. It's not as reliable as a Camry, but I would say it's better than average. That mileage is kinda suspicious, though, unless an old person owned it. Have a mechanic check it out. | |||||

| 2013 ford fusion growls when put in 4th gear. | 13Relevance | 3 years ago | coffee_drinker81 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have a 2013 ford fusion probably one of the rare ones with a stickshift 6 speed. It has 177k miles on it and when I go to shift it into 4th gear is when I get the growl noise but the noise goes away once I get it in any other gear. Im hoping its a exhaust leak or engine mount causing the noise but I have already had the engine mounts replaced a year ago. | |||||

| If the fusion engine is a Duratec 2.0 inline 4 cylinder, I would keep it. If it is any EcoBoost engine, I would consider looking into a Honda or Toyota. | |||||
