| Excuse me for jumping in on your conversation Joe . @dakota you posted 2003 GMC YUKON Automatic A/C . The automatic AC has a control module, like Joe says, not a resistor assembly. The manual AC has a resistor assembly . @dakota Can you clarify if you have automatic AC control or manual AC control? | |||||

| Well the thing is that, I plan on putting a a lot of mileage on it driving it across the United States and potentially making it my as wellhome. I would put less mileage on it than a full time uber driver. But yeah, driving this thing across states once or twice within the next two years (Socal to North Dakota pretty soon and then possibly North Dakota to florida a year later). | |||||

| ... 10 days later, but the one he received was cracked and 3 of the gauges were missing, it turns out the guy had sent the wrong one and had accidentally grabbed the cluster next to the one he meant to send. He apologized and now the correct one is on its way (hopefully). I could accept that someone had accidentally had sent the wrong part (I didn't lose any money), but what I heard next really irritated me. It turns out when I sent my brake booster to be rebuilt that the machine shop that welded it back together had damaged the booster during the welding proc ... | |||||
| Answer to: Traded Dakota for 4Runner | 18Relevance | 2 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| No way to tell from here. With such ancient clunkers how they've been treated and maintained over the decades is the most important factor. When they were new it would be Toyota, hands down. However decades later an old 4Runner might be better than an aging Dakota or maybe not depending what happened to those vehicles during that long period of time. Good luck with your ebay sensor. Ebay is a major source of counterfeit and defective Chinese junk. It's always best to use OEM sensors. (A knock sensor is basically just a microphone so maybe you'll luck out.) | |||||

| Aloha, yesterday traded my 2001 Dodge Dakota with 198k miles, 2WD manual. For this 1996 Toyota 4Runner, 2WD, automatic 300k miles Does this seem like a good trade? 4 runner is nice, high miles. But shifts really well and trans fluid is red and smells good. Engine sounds good. Only codes is a knock sensor which I ordered off eBay and is on the way. Many parts seem replaced. New brakes, drive shaft, fuel pump, fuel filter, rotors, tie rods, and maybe few other things. It has a lift with big tires. They are throwing in a extra trans with 197k miles they ha ... | |||||

| Aloha, I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport RWD with the V6 motor. Manual trans.199k miles So I have a power steering leak, seems pretty small. Don't have the manual for the car. And dodge is closed. Not sure what kind of fluid to put into reservoir. Not sure if they used trans fluid or regular power steering fluid. If I put some regular power steering fluid and they used trans fluid would it mess things up? Or if I just put in a bottle of Lucas ps stop leak, and topped off with that, would it mess things up? Let me know, thank you. And is Lucas trans stop ... | |||||

| Aloha I have a 01 dodge Dakota with 198k miles, manual trans. Anyways I just noticed a small rack and pinion leak. It's kinda small. Online it says atf for the fluid, but idk what's in there if it's atf or regular ps fluid Is Lucas power steering stop leak a good way to go? Like if it is atf would it hurt the rack mixing atf and Lucas stop leak? Also should I use 10w 30 instead of 5w 30 since it's high mileage, and should I use a little Lucas oil lubricant would that help engine last longer? Appreciate y'all help. Mahalo | |||||
