| 2011-2014 Ford Edge opinions | 25Relevance | 5 years ago | mtthwia | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| So I have never heard you talk about the Ford Edge. I've heard they're very reliable and it is extremely impossible to find them on the junkyards, especially ones newer than 2011. What is your opinion about the Ford Edge? And the ones between 2011-2014, is the 4 cylinder better? Or the 3.5V6 engine? I'd love to hear opinions | |||||

| 2022 Ford Edge Titanium 8 speed Automatic 2.0 I4 Ecoboost AWD 37972 mi Hello Scotty Kilmer Car Forum Community, I think I have another issue with my Ford. I have a 2022 Edge Titanium 8 speed Automatic 2.0 I4 Ecoboost AWD 37972 mi. Recently, my front wheels start to skid (like they are loosing traction) when making a u turn. It's especially bad when turning on a wet road. However, my mechanic tells me that 8/32" of tread are left in the two front tires and 7/32" of tread are left in the rear tires. A different mechanic says I have 6/32 in all 4 tires. Not r ... | |||||
| Answer to: Ford Edge 4-cylinder for light towing? | 22Relevance | 2 years ago | Hixster | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Ranging from 2018 until now, the V6 has a Maximum Loaded Trailer weight of 3500lbs. (The 4 will handle light towing, 1500lbs or less) As little as your going to be doing it shouldn't be a problem at all, the car will be fine. | |||||
| Ford Edge 4-cylinder for light towing? | 22Relevance | 2 years ago | RobbieR | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I'd thought to focus on a late model Edge with a 2.7l v6, until I found out about the timing belt. How are the late model 4 cyinder models for light towing? I tow a <1,500 lb load less than 2 miles, twice a year. Is towing capacity a real concern for such "light" use on an Edge 4 cylinder? Thanks, Rob, Toronto area. | |||||

| Answer to: Ford Edge 2009-2010 reliable? | 22Relevance | 3 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I’m not sure what Scotty thinks of this specific vehicle. I much prefer a RAV4 or CRV or Venza or Highlander or the same era as the Edge. With that said, if you have your heart set on the Edge, stay away from the EcoBoost engines at the very least. I know Scotty isn’t a big fan of those. I also recommend researching the transmission of the specific car. It was also during the era when GM and Ford built a transmission together. Not sure how good it is. | |||||

| While I am not a big fan of Ford products, I must say the Edge impressed me when I rented one for a week. Granted it was only a week, so I have no real long term experience with the car. My only complaint was the door jamb had a sharp piece of chrome. While I can’t give it a personal recommendation because I only had it for a week and I have never had to maintain or repair one, if it must be an Edge, get the non-turbo. It surprisingly reminded me of my old X5 in size and scope. | |||||
| 2017 Ford Edge intermittent dash warning light with P051B | 22Relevance | 4 years ago | Mark 13 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi all, a friend of mine has a 2017 Ford Edge with 80000 miles. The dash warning light has been coming on for awhile and then going out every so often during a 500 mile trip. The Edge is running perfectly fine other than the light coming on every so often. I scanned the codes for her and the only one that came up was P051B. I have researched this and was wondering if anyone has had experience with it. I suspect it is the sensor failing but wanted to get the groups opinion. Any ideas? | |||||
| Brake booster 2017 Ford Edge Titanium | 22Relevance | 4 years ago | Axel S | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Scotty I have a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium V-6 AWD 36,000 miles with the very touchy brakes at low speed. Dealer said nothing wrong with brakes, but they are so sensitive, I have to just touch the pedal and it throws me forward each time. Is the booster bad? Other owners have same issue on Edge forums. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thank you so much Scotty from Axel in Chicago, long time viewer. 🙂 | |||||

| Hello, I'm here bc I love your channel. Been a fan for many years. I have a car problem no mechanic in or outside the dealership has been able to solve. 2013 Ford Edge Limited Ecoboost 4 cyl The car will randomly die while driving or when stopped. If I Rev the engine it will stay on longer but at slow speeds eventually dies. The dealership replaced the purge valve assembly, the master break cylinder(booster whatever its called), they replaced all the hoses bc I could smell fuel sometimes. The car lasted about 2 months then started doing the same thin ... | |||||

| ... people and I hated the ones we had for falling apart at the seams. We now drive a Ford and enjoy it - but would you recommend the use of an Edge? Is it better to buy "newer" (2014+) or save cost (and maybe not headache) to purchase an older model? Budget is probably around 15-17k but I try to budget 1-2k USD to drop into it for replacement parts and oil changes, etc after purchase.. Is the Edge reliable? Supposedly the 2014 was one of the best years but are any of them particularly "lemons" in your experience? | |||||

| Scott my 2008 Ford Edge sel 2wd. When I drive the suv 1 mile the front brakes get hard and lock up. I replaced the brake booster. Had to disconnect the master to get booster out. Ive bled the brakes, replaced the brake switch and new calipers and rotors and pads. But when they lock up its gradual and then can't push pedal at all and when I release the brake switch the brakes release and the do it again 1 mile later. Is this due to brake pedal rest position cause the brake switch is pushed all the way in at rest position.the new booster came off a 2007 model e ... | |||||
