| ... Aside from that they are decent vehicles and I trust Toyota’s turbocharged engines over the luxury competition. But personally I’d go for the Lexus RX350 with the true and tried naturally aspirated V6 OR the Toyota RAV4 (which only have naturally aspirated engines - and not turbocharged engines) for longevity over the Lexus NX. Now, if you plan to get rid of before 150,000 miles then it’s probably fine. | |||||

| Where to buy parts for 2013-2020 Lexus GS? | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I am looking to get my Lexus GS350 (2017 or 2018 MY) this year and am curious what are good, recommended websites to get Lexus parts. Rockauto and come into mind. Any other good ones?? Also, I plan on keeping this car for 15-20 years. How long does Toyota/Lexus provide parts for? I know some other automakers stop supporting when 12 years old or older, and the Lexus GS has now been discontinued. I’ve never owned a Lexus before so appreciate the help. | |||||

| Answer to: Is an old Lexus a good choice for a teenager? | 22Relevance | 2 years ago | BobTheHatKing | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| a luxury car will be more expensive to maintain, especially as they age. Also, ES350 is a V6 which will have more maintenance than a 4cyl. However, reliability wise, a Lexus is an excellent choice. The ES350 is an entry level Lexus, which means they sell a ton of them and there's more parts interchangeability with other Toyota/Lexus models, so parts are somewhat cheaper, and there is a large aftermarket, and you'll have no problem getting used parts, but there are going to be those few parts that are Lexus only and those are going to cost you more. | Cool car. In America, I believe it is marketed as the Lexus GX. Mechanically, nothing much has changed in the last 13 years. Which alludes to the fact that the Prado/GX is probably one of the most reliable cars Toyota’s you can get. It’s the probably the last great Toyota/Lexus, before Toyota/Lexus went high tech with electronic everything. A Lexus representative was joking with me that the GX harkens back to the days when you could fix cars with a little duct tape. Modern Lexus and Toyota would be impossible to do that with. | |||||

| Yes. They're built on the same platforms, Lexus is just a fancy, upscale Toyota. Lexus is a badge-engineered Toyota. If you're not made of money, I'd get the Toyota. In general, Lexus is as reliable as Toyota, but that comes with increased prices for just about everything. | |||||

| ... would want. It is then up to the individual dealers to call dibs/trade with each other to get a particular trim/color combo. 99% of Lexus vehicles being sent to dealerships are "allocated" by Lexus corporate and the dealer has no choice in what they're getting. Lexus corporate looks at different parts of the country, what cars are selling in those areas, their supply chain etc and corporate decides how many of each model to build, what colors to select etc. Then they "allocate" those cars to different dealerships based on what they've been selling. | How long do you plan to keep it? After 5 6 years or 70 80k miles theMercedes will start falling apart, and before then empty your wallet with maintenance costs. If you want a reliable car, get the Lexus. Long term, the Lexus would have a bit higher repair/maintenance costs because its a V8 but the Mercedes would just bankrupt you. Infinitis are OK definitely in between the Merc and Lexus but these are all high tech luxury SUVs and will become money pits eventually, for example the Mercedes after 6 7 years, Infiniti after 8 9 years, and the Lexus after 15 ye ... | |||||

| 2007 Lexus RX350 or 2007 Toyota Harrier ? | 14Relevance | 4 years ago | SyedAlam | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty, Its Syed from New Zealand, I was planning on buying Lexus RX 350 2007-2009 model, but then i saw Toyota Harrier they look exactly same as Lexus(Except for one small extra mirror on one side) but the one Harrier that i saw has 2.4ltr 2AZ engine instead of 3.5 V6 and its fair bit cheaper than the Lexus with similar milage. It has milage of around 166,000KM. Should I buy Harrier or should I spend a bit more and buy the Lexus? I am buying for my family, I do have another car as my daily driver that I drive to work every day. Cheers Syed | |||||
