| Lincoln town car vs Toyota?? | 36Relevance | 6 years ago | dflyus | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello guys, I have a silly question. I really like the 2003-2011 Lincoln town car. I've heard they are extremely reliable and inexpensive to repair. My question is, is the town car just as reliable as something like a Toyota camry? The town cars are significantly less expensive. I'm looking for a good daily commuter car. Thanks in advance! | |||||

| ... in my original post to see years to avoid. The Lincoln town car is a good choice if a mechanic says ok. The equivalent Toyota would be the Avalon which is a good first car its premium and powerful and safe but not too much like a luxury car or sports car. I personally find the Lincoln town car to be way too big for a first car. | |||||

| I'm not familiar with that model but according to the rockauto.com database it was available with either, they list parts both for carburetor and throttle body injection. The fuel injection may have been optional. You should be able to tell what you have with the air cleaner removed. If not sure what each fuel system looks like probably the quickest tell is a carb will have a choke plate on top to enrich the mixture when cold, a throttle body won't. | |||||

| Hi all, 2003 Lincoln town car Executive w/ 80K miles My rear passenger footwell light & locks stopped working all of a sudden. Posted about this issue into a town car group and advised this could very bell be the infamous Driver's Door Module (DDM). The Lincoln members mentioned that it's not required to match the exact part# of the item. it just had to have the same functions as mine & match the years it was compatible with (03,04,05) And so I grabbed 2 modules from a junkyard, and 1 from Ebay. All 3 modules had different/similar issues to my ori ... | |||||

| Hello Scotty and Moderators! I have a (fully loaded with every option you could get back then) 1999 Lincoln town car that was once my grandfather’s, but has been bequeathed to me by my grandmother as a gift. It only has 93,000 miles on it, and it is almost mechanically perfect. Runs beautifully, no leaks whatsoever (not even greasiness or seepage anywhere, seriously!) and it has virtually no rust even though it has never been stored indoors (a little bit on the backside of the rear bumper but meh, that’s easy to fix.) The only mechanical problems are very mi ... | |||||

| Lincoln Town Car intake manifold | 32Relevance | 4 years ago | Matt129 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello everyone, I have a 1999 Lincoln town car with 93,000 miles on it. I recently heard that the engines in these cars (4.6l v8 2 valve) have a weak intake manifold that is prone to cracking as it is plastic. Currently the intake manifold on my Lincoln has no cracks that I am aware of and runs perfectly fine. Should I replace the intake manifold with an aluminum one out of precaution, or just leave it alone as it currently functioning fine? Thanks for any help you can give me. | |||||

| So I am looking to buy a used vehicle. In my search I found a 2017 Lincoln MKC under 70,000 miles one owner and according to carfax it has only one accident. To me this looks to be a good deal. However I don't know anything about Lincoln or the MKC. So my question is how reliable are Lincoln vehicles, is the Lincoln MKC reliable vehicle to buy used will it be a cash cow to fix up of I buy one. | |||||

| Hello Scotty and Moderators! I have a 1999 Lincoln town car cartier. I would like to do some performance upgrades to the engine. I have heard that it is the same (or very similar to) the Mustang engine of its time, just tuned down a bit to make it feel leisurely. I don’t know if that is true or not, but either way, I would like to know what engine upgrades I could do the car to add some power without shortening the life of the components. It has the famous 4.6 liter SOHC 220hp V8 engine. And it is the dual exhaust model, which I believe was sort of a “sport” ... | |||||
