| hi there, i got myself a hyundai Tiburon 2007 and i have noticed a couple of problems and i dont know what could possibly cause these... my car leaks engine oil into my air intake, i starts jerking at 4.5k rpm and wont go above that and it uses a lot of fuel for short distances... ive been to a couple mechanics who couldnt tell me what the issues were so i hope ill get some answers here. thanks | |||||

| Hi, i have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon gs 2.0 4cyl., and i bought this formula made by rislone in yellow bottle ring seal. My question is can i add this to my engine ? Im trying to adjust the valves and this is what i been told by auto zone to add, quite frankly I don't trust AutoZone this is why I'm asking is it okay to add to the engine please let me know ASAP thank you | |||||

| Hey Scotty, I found a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 with 107,500 miles on it and an automatic transmission, though I wish I found a manual tranny. I don't have any scan tools, so I don’t know if there are any error codes. It's a clean car being sold from a local used car dealer for $5800(obviously negotiable), but do you think it's a good car? | |||||

What initially turned me off to the idea was that it looked fine, and I wasn't throwing codes for misfires, I had to watch them live on an OBD, and they were only popping for Cylinder 3. However, after work today, a coworker lent me one of his shop OBD's that fed better live data, and when I flipped the AC on to see how bad things would get, it picked up a cylinder 2 as well as a 3 misfire. | No, it's not worth it to repair that transmission. Rebuilders almost always rebuild them just enough to get past the warranty period, which is generally 1 year, or 10k miles. If your daughter likes the car, you might get an aftermarket remanufactured one with a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty. Replacing the actual engine, if I understand you correctly, isn't a bolts on and off procedure at all. The I4 needs engine mounts specific to that car, the automatic transmission must be able to be hooked to the flywheel, and the "new" engine needs needs to be programed into the ECU. | |||||

| Sole owner of a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 and recently seems the seals of the automatic transmission have worn or are showing age of wear and tear. We had a local mechanic suggest a specialist for transmission repair in Houston, TX; paid sum of atleast 1500.00. Not once, but twice; my sister complains of a possible third gear slippage and other problems. Is this old Hyundai repairable to not be some lemon? | Hi Scotty loves your videos. The automatic transmission makes very loud noise when I hit gas in drive gear, almost feels like the exhaust is leaking but in side of my car's cabin !!! No transmission related codes. I tend to put it in park before I use parking brake - bad hobbit from driving a manual before. Could that be the reason the transmission ( or torque converter) is bad. 2008 Hyundai Tiburon 2.0L 180k miles. I can still drive it down the road though, just need to wear ear plug for the damn thing. {black}:grinning: | |||||
