| ... Parts are not as abundant in aftermarket I would guess. You said you wanted it for commuting, is it all city driving? If so, you will gain a good amount of mpg, from 18 to 32 from a RX350. If however, if it is mixed, or highway, the benefits go away fast. A RX 350 gets 25 highway, a 450h gets 28. If you do the math, you will save a whopping $1500 over 100k miles by getting a hybrid and driving it on the highway, vs a normal rx350. If you even got the best gas mileage on the hybrid at 32, and the worst city mileage on the 350, you would save about $8500 ov ... | |||||

| I have a 2020 Lexus RX 450h. The lease expires at the end of December. Car has 12,500 miles. I was going to buy. Should I buy the Lexus extended warranty? 3 years will cost $2,500 and 5 years will cost about $3,200. Is it worth buying? I’m concerned because the car has had a lot of clicking noises that has required repair from the dealer. If it’s not under warranty, they won’t cover these noises. Hopefully this last time they were able to fix but I’m never convinced. | |||||

| $12,000 I have the ability to buy a 2012 Lexus 450h with 130k miles from someone I know. But, the Lexus records (not carfax) have services at Lexus done every 5k miles without exception. And the hybrid battery was replaced by Lexus about 5k miles ago. Their family member that drove it can’t drive anymore. with that background, is it likely I could still get many more miles out of it? I see these going high mileage even without a new battery. But trust your insights. we have a 2010 gas rx my wife drives that has really been a great car. But I like the ... | |||||

The Michelin’s are made in Canada and the Continental are made in the US. I am in NJ, so being able to drive in snow is a criteria, but I would prefer something that is not noisy or rough. | ... profit for the company shareholders, and THEN they pay for claims - they have carefully figured out the typical claims for a 2 year old Lexus 450h. So, probably 25- 40% or the $3200 goes to overhead, would be my estimate. I recommend you put 2K in an interest bearing account for service, and take the $1200 and have a deluxe weekend at a resort/spa/casino or some other indulgence. | |||||

| I used Green Bean Battery when my 2004 Prius hybrid battery needed replacing at 275K miles. That was in May 2020. They recondition and rebalance old cells and clump them together to form refurbished battery packs. So far so good. The only trouble we had was when we were in the middle of Death Valley in the scorching heat 110 degrees or more, got the warning of a bad battery. But when we got back to normal temperatures, it was fine, and had been fine since. It looks like this battery comes with a three year warranty with option to upgrade for a lifetime warranty. | |||||

| My Mother in Law has owned a 2011 Lexus 450h for a good two years bought at 80k miles to now 109. Recently, the battery suddenly gave out. She's very dealer service faithful, so her and I took her vehicle to our local Lexus Dealership for a diagnostic. We've been quoted 8k for a brand new battery along with installation! She's now adamant in buying a used hybrid battery, but I'm weary as most of these places I've found selling hybrid batteries offer a very small warranty and no real guarantee of it lasting long either. My question is, once she r ... | |||||
