| Hi Scotty I've watched your channel for a few years now and my dad use to be my go to for everything car related but he has since passed on so I'm left with answering my own questions so I have a 2009 ford edge and I was trying to reset the keyless door lock and I activated to theft system in the car and it refuses to turn over or do anything and I can't seem to get it reset or off like it won't do anything at all just blink a red lock on the dash can you help me please | |||||

| The ford edge is a bit unusual. The water pump is INSIDE the crankcase. But I'm still skeptical of his claim. I doubt that the bearing is lubricated by engine oil , or that oil even touches the water seal. | |||||

| ... intrusion issue on ford ecoboost engines is the problem. There is a class action lawsuit against ford for these engines. My question - can head gasket fix possibly solve the problem ? if not ( for the short term ) what else can be done? ford's solution right now is replacing the defective blocks, but right now that is an expensive ( 6-8K ) solution ( which we don't know if it really solves the engineering flaw). | Probably the whatever you paid for the car originally. "Sticker price" is the vehicle's MSRP, if you paid less than MSRP for it, you'll get it back. Auto manufacturers don't like to give money away without a fight. Hopefully I'm wrong but given ford's relatively recent track record with ford Fiestas having transmission problems and selling those cars anyways, I don't have high hopes for your situation. My wife and I both have 2017 Mustangs, and they constantly have their check engine lights illuminating because of ford's cheaply designed and built EVAP syst ... | |||||

| Sorry to hear about your F150 troubles. As others have said, I went to war with ford over my 2018 doing the same thing your 2020 is. My advice to you would be to get a paper trail going with the dealership. If you haven't done an oil consumption test yet, I would take the truck in, explain your issue, and they will ask you to do one. Most likely they will also replace the PCV valve which was ford's initial fix (it doesn't work). | Scotty, I have a 2010 ford edge all wheel drive 167,000 miles and for the most part has been running good no major issues. I received a emission notice from the state and went to the testing facility thinking no big deal. I was shocked when I was told I failed do to no communication with there device. I took my vehicle to my mechanic and he hooked up his scanner and got a reading no problem. Went back and same thing. Went to a different mechanic, his scanner also worked and no issues with the vehicle. Went to a different testing facility and failed again ... | |||||

| I have a 2019 ford edge with about 70,000 miles. Every time I fill up the tank, immediately after when I start the vehicle and start driving, the vehicle will idle rough at the next red light. I have taken your advice on not adding more fuel after the pump stops so it doesn't mess up the evap canister. The rough idling only last for a few minutes and by the time I get home it clears itself up and no longer has a rough idle. Could the evap canister be going bad? | |||||
